National Express coach services book on sale Monday 19th September 2011! NATIONAL EXPRESS's 2012 TIMETABLES ARE NOW EXPECTED TO START LATE MARCH 2012, ALTHOUGH SOME CONTRACTORS HAD BEEN TOLD MAY. WE ARE THEN LOOKING AT DOING THIS IN APRIL 2012 ONCE MORE - PERHAPS IN TWO PARTS i.e. Part 1 all-NatEx, Part 2 everything else "Long distance"?
Herts Set will be on sale very soon - see panel below! Basically, We had been working on a new format for the books, but this would appear to be delaying the books too much (yes, I feel very guilty!) We will now use a lightly-edited Traveline format. These books will be A5 size, and feature a better use of space, a new font throughout, totally new layout in certain parts, and even more of your requests! We will have a lightly-edited Traveline format in the meantime, until we can get the electronic data and are able to do a program accordingly to manipulate the elctronic data semi-automatically. In the meantime, because the book editing takes too long to keep up with, we will revert to a lightly-edited Traveine format - but now A5 size.
We will be doing a further announcement in the coming days, but we now have the use of a new printer, extra flexibility, and a lot lower costs - meaning we can make smaller books cheaper than we could ever before. This is good news, and certainly it's a lot more flexibility than what has been availbile to us through Lulu.
